Children of the Sea
A Work in Progress by Anne Ruby
Part Four: Language of the Sea
“There is a vast amount of research to be done, information to be collected, tabulated, and then linked together to make a coherent pattern. This is far beyond the abilities of any one man in a lifetime. No one can be an expert on every subject covered in this journey to find the origin of civilisation.” — P.I. Pierce, Editor in Chief, Atlantis Research, May/June 1948
Matthew’s daughter, Jemma, knows how to pass back and forth through the Veil between the third and fourth dimension at will, but that doesn’t mean she wants to help others do it too. After hearing about the Destiny that awaits her, she’s fit to be tied and wants nothing to do with any it. Trying to keep the peace and struggling with his own inner chaos, Great Uncle Rick tries to ease Jemma’s mind by guiding her through the maze-like Temple of Translucent Walls and showing her past and future events that may help her with her task of blazing new trails.
On their journey, Jemma attends the very last meeting of Mr. Sykes’ Atlantis Research Center; sees first-hand the incredible ruins that lay at the bottom of Lake Titicaca; witnesses the discovery of a lifetime in an Egyptian tomb; conjures up the mighty Thoth by mistake; and learns the simple truth about the Language of the Sea.
What does Jemma glimpse in the futures she is shown? Does the Marine Mammal Commission accept her father’s mind-boggling work? Does her Uncle Jared finally uncover the Hall of Records in Egypt? Does Aunt Lauren impress the Dean of the University of the Atlantic enough to establish an academic Chair in Atlantology?
Join Jemma as she travels beyond space and time to learn not only the facts that impact her present confusing predicament, but oodles about herself as well.
You won’t want to miss how everything ties together -- well, almost everything -- in Part Five, Transformation.
