Children of the Sea

A Work in Progress by Anne Ruby

Part Five: Transformation

“Always keep in mind the possibility, however small it may presently appear, that future evidence and improved scientific techniques may alter that proof, conclusion, or decision.” — Professor E.A. Hooten, Harvard University, American Anthropologist, 1954

Children of the Sea

Although warned in advance by the Professor, Mr. Sykes has absolutely no idea what to do when the outraged Poseidon comes barging into his home with a long list of complaints about how his oceans are being treated. Meanwhile, the angry and all-powerful Mother Nature herself, prepares a cauldron of the Brew of Transformation and dishes out a major natural catastrophe that sends devastating and rippling effects to every corner of the world.

From the exploding volcanoes of Hawaii to the hurricane-force winds in the Florida Keys to the violent sandstorms in Egypt, all of the Sea People – both great and small -- are forced to pay attention to Mother Nature’s wrath as she sends their futures reeling in directions they never expected.

The magazine and newspaper clippings from the 2050 disasters in Mr. Sykes’ scrapbook about Europe’s stone circles; a new-found archaeological site in the Himalayas; the discovery of a new cache of Dead Sea Scrolls; and the strange occurrences at Angkor Vat, are as exciting as the Smithsonian’s decision to conduct further scientific studies on the once-again-awakened Crystal Skull.

Will the United Peace Federation be able to save the day?

Will more Sea People find their way to the lands of the earth, to help the struggling planet?

And what does the humble psychic, Mr. Bloomfield, have to say about all the recent goings-on and the fate of mankind?

You’ll only know if you read to the very last page of Transformation.
